Hello, our dear friends. My name is Maxym Protasevych. I live in Ukraine, Zhytomyr. I am the owner of a clinic for cats and also a breeder and felinologist.
Russia, along with its president Vladymyr Putin attacked my country early in the morning on February 24th. They are using the full power of their huge army against the sovereignty of my country. They brought death and destruction. Ukrainians are defending themselves with all our strength and unity, but every day Russian soldiers are continue bombing our cities. Their rockets are hitting schools and maternity hospitals. Thousands of civilians, women and children have already died.
The citizens of my city Zhytomyr are leaving their houses and run to other countries as refugees. Not all of them can take their pets. Our clients and other citizens are leaving their pets at our clinic. They hope to take cats back, when they come back home after the war ends. As for today, we became a shelter! We have over 300 cats at our clinic!!!
We do not have the savings to feed such a huge number of pets. Food supplies for them are disrupted due to hostilities. We have absolutely no money to feed all the pets. There are many abandoned dogs around the streets as well, and they are hungry! There is no one there to feed them either. Me with my small team, who did not leave the city, will not leave the pets to die of starvation. We stay with them till the end. This is our mission and these pets are what we live for.
